The transition

The one constant in life, is change.  I remember a time when i swore i would never make edibles with concentrates or hash oils. Then, in the summer of 2015, i stepped out of my comfort zone and made a batch of bho gummies. The OHA has made numerous changes to the OMMP statues regarding the production, labeling, and sales of edibles, so i took a break from making big batches for local dispensaries.  I have continued to hone my craft in making smaller batches for personal consumption and to make small donations to fellow patients in need.

Making the decision to start making topical ointments instead of edibles was a turning point in my medicine making journey.  Initially, I wanted to step outside of my comfort zone and challenge myself. So i made my first batch of topical ointment in September of 2015, using a crockpot and a potato ricer.

After a half dozen batches experimenting with different ingredients and recipes that i obtained from industry contacts, i finally developed a product that i was happy with.

Needless to say, all artisans should continue to push theirselves to perfection of their craft.

Going Green Labs and Going Green Dispensaries (Albany, Sweet Home, and Newport) have been my biggest supporters since Day 1. They have provided me with quality testing, good advice, help with promoting my products, and carry my edibles and ointments on their shelves. Going Green is truly a collective who puts the patients first.

Thanks to the support of Going Green Labs, i now know that my ointment contains a blend of rare, beneficial cannabinoids. CBD, Δ8 THC, CBG, and CBN are all present, according to these results.

My medicated ointment is intended for topical use. In my own personal care, i use it to remedy deep tissue muscle pains, prevent muscle spasms, and battle recurring joint pains from years of tripping and falling on a regular basis. I have seen it work wonders for dry and irritated skin, tattoo aftercare, and even heard of a few couples use it as an invigorating nighttime personal lubricant (the diversity of cannabinoids near the high concentration of nerve endings is probably why we've been getting reports of intensified orgasms).

Last week a friend of mine called and shared some awesome news with me.  This friend of mine struggles with MS and has conquered multiple tumors and series of treatments. Thanks to the edibles and ointments that i gave to him, he was able to sleep through an entire night (attack, spasm, and tremor free) for the first time in three years.

Recent batches

Classic Magic Brownies
Just been baking for personal use lately. None of the medibles you see on this blog are available at Dispensaries at the moment.

You just might see me around at a music festival or OMMP event some time. Be Well Everyone

On Vaporizers...

There is already an adequate amount of published material that discusses the benefits of Vaporizing Marijuana (vs. Smoking).  In my opinion, that argument has already been won, and there is no point in debating the topic any further.

If you search YouTube, there are also a number of videos offering reviews of different vaporizers.  I understand that each individual patient has their own specific needs, in regards to their Medical Cannabis requirements.

The Volcano Vaporizer System by Storz & Bickel is the most efficient vaporizer for my personal needs, and it is the ONLY Vaporizer that I recommend for use with the 'Manny Dread Method'

The Volcano Vaporizer is one of the only vaporizers that combines an internal heating element with an internal fan, resulting in a steady, consistent flow of hot air directly to the vaporizing chamber.

*I recommend Vaporizing the plant matter a single time, into a Vaporizer bag around 3ft. long (1 meter), this allows for the entire flavor spectrum to be captured.  I have found that vaporizing the same plant material repeatedly in a smaller bag ruins the flavor after the first run (and you miss out on the 'sweet spot' between the first and second bag, unless you have two bags to fill up.)

Economically speaking, the Volcano Vaporizer is a major investment to the individual patient, with a retail price in the neighborhood of $500.  But I believe it is a worthwhile investment.  Volcano Vaporizers last forever, and if they save so much money that they eventually pay for themselves.

To put this point in simpler terms: You can roll up two fat nugs into a blunt and be all good for about 2 hours, or I can take that same two nugs, grind it up, fill up the vape chamber about 8 times, and every time I fill up the bag, I get the same amount of smoke as that first blunt you rolled.
